Ahhhh. NYC is a week away. In five days I will be on a plane to NYC. Please let the snow be gone.
More or less injury free – some niggles, but hopefully they will disappear by race day.
I am so excited. This race has been a long time coming. It’s been a crazy journey to get to this point. And NYC will be so incredibly special regardless of outcome. I get chills just thinking about the race and what it will be like when the gun goes off. I have never run a race with so many people. Nor have I gotten up so early for a race – bus is up at 5:30am in mid-town manhattan.
I know anything goes on race day, especially in a marathon, and on an un-familar course, so I’m trying to keep my expectations in check.
And running NYC is most likely a once in a life time opportunity and I want to make the most of it.
