Sunday’s run was HOT. 29km to Dundarave Pier and back. On the way back I was tempted to climb onto one of the sightseeing trolleys. If I had any money in my pocket I would have.
A little detour heading into the trails, but we got to Prospect Point all the same.
The Lions gate Bridge on the way out was not bad though coming back was a bit of a death march. The downhill from prospect point through the trails brought some relief, but we soon hit the exposed areas. The stretch along Pacific/seawall was a scorcher.
Our return trip over the Burrard street coincided with probably the warmest point of the day – temps read 27 degrees celsius. I was drenched.
Upon reaching the store, and some perfunctory stretching, collapsed into a heap on the sidewalk. It took me awhile to move again. Please don’t be this hot again on Sunday….
